About the Program

Bahan Jal Mono means Place for People of Tomorrow in the language of the Wakka Wakka people on whose traditional land we sit near Cherbourg. Bahan Jal Mono has approximately 1.25 kilometres of permanent water frontage on Barambah Creek. The facilities at Bahan Jal Mono include conference, administrative and farm buildings, a fully established plant nursery, a professional spray unit and a professional fully equipped kitchen. Equipment includes tractors, vehicles and smaller equipment such as chainsaws.

About the Program

The Shaftesbury Centre has established a strong relationship with Bahan Jal Mono and builds on the long-term work of the Silver Lining Foundation with the indigenous people in the South Burnett & Cherbourg regions.
